Naan is traditionally cooked in a clay oven or “tandoor.”We can make Naan in a regular home oven too.Ingredients:
- 4 cups of All Purpose flour (Plain flour or maida)
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- 1 Teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 8 Oz lukewarm water
- 1 Egg
- 8 Oz of Milk
Method:
- Whisk Milk, egg and water.
- Add sugar, salt and baking soda to the flour and mix well.
- Add the mixture to it.
- Knead until the dough is smooth and add oil from the top.
- Cover the dough and keep in a warm place for 1 hour.
- The dough should fermit
- Make small buns and then roll on a smooth service to a 4-5 inches in size.
- Pre-Heat the oven to 400 degrees
- Take a non-stick sheet pan and place the rolled flat bread on it.
- close the door of the oven.
The Naan should be ready in 4-5 mins. Ready to be served.
Option:
You can put clarified butter, basil oil, Olive oil etc from the Top.
The naan can be served with kebab, any curries, lentil or used as a starter.
